Cheese...Who needs cheese?! Luckily, due to The Tipsy Vegan and the recent 49ers success, bruschetta was in order. This recipe requires wine, obvi...and I am sooo hooked! This stuff is addicting. Beware.
I have never made bruschetta before, partially because I don't make appetizers on a regular basis...and partially because most bruschetta recipes I've found since going vegan have cheese.

^I'm sure you're all thrilled with my spectacular grammar^
I know I haven't posted in a while...but what better time to start than now?! My 49er's are killing it in the playoffs and there are oodles of vegan apps to be had as I watch ridiculous amounts of football... So today I will share with you my new favorite guacamole: the best guac I have EVER had. Remember that cookbook I showed you in my last post? Well it has not disappointed so far. I am obsessed with this recipe and I am excited to share another appetizer recipe from The Tipsy Vegan tomorrow! Thaaat's right kids, I'm back in action! Here is the first of many overdue recipes...
This dip has been in my repertoire for years, but this is the first time I've veganized it. The best news? It tastes just as good as the original : ) Since football season is in full swing, I figure this is the right time to be sharing recipes like this: easy to share and easy to prepare (yaaayyy rhyming!). The only downfall is the steep price you may pay for such veganized treats as Tofutti cream cheese and Daiya cheese. Sooorrrryyy, but this is so worth it! It may not be something you want to make every Sunday (please be kind to your wallet and your waistline) but treat yourself when you want to celebrate! Two people asked for it...so I made it! Thank to the four oh so lovely people who voted in last week's poll. Other two, your treats are coming later : )
New poll is up and I would really love your input. Yes you. Please and thank you. This dip is in a class of its own. The unique blend of flavors are a great accompaniment to veggies, pita chips/bread, or whatever your heart desires. It has a nice saltiness from the miso and a refreshing flavor from the cilantro and lime. This will definitely be my go to snack all week. So convenient! I mentioned a while ago that I was on a mission to create vegan jalapeno poppers. This sounded like a daunting task, but I knew that part of my reason for starting this blog was to challenge myself. I am happy to say this was another successful first attempt. They may not be the most glamorous food, but they are a vegan, lighter version of a favorite party food. A special thank you to my bestie Kara for helping me make these : )
I recently had multiple opportunities to create and share an appetizer, and I knew what my first priority was: Fine Cooking's Greek Salad Skewers. I have tweaked the recipe a bit, making it even faster and easier to make. Plus, I like the cool, light, and refreshing nature of these bites without oil.
This one has also impressed family and friends alike, so I hope you'll love it too! |
